Participation in Criminal Justice Ministry (CJM) at KUMC is basically one of individual pursuit.
Under the umbrella of the Service Mission Team, our KUMC prison ministry outreach functions under the auspices of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Opportunities for participation in this prison ministry program include the following:

RELEASE-TO-RENT: Bi-monthly contributions of basic food and cleaning supplies for distribution to recently released prisoners.

PRISON PEN PAL: correspondence with Missouri prison inmates.

LEGISLATION: opportunities for letter writing and visits to the Missouri State Legislature.

PENNIES-FOR-VANDALIA: the donation of pennies to be used for bus trips to Vandalia so that children may visit imprisoned mothers.
