Why do Kirkwood United Methodist members serve?
We believe this is simply what Christians do. We try to follow the "great commission" of Jesus Christ to go into the entire world and preach the gospel, knowing that preaching through our actions is the most effective way to show our love of Christ and of each other. How can we claim to love God and our fellow humans if we cannot see that their basic needs are met?
At KUMC, we have programs to temporarily house the homeless, feed the hungry, visit those in prison and encourage the brokenhearted.

Signature Mission

n 2010-2011, over 150 members and friends of the KUMC community partnered with Mason School (an incredible school in the city of St. Louis) in a number of projects, from creating an outdoor classroom to tutoring. KUMC is excited to announce that we will continue to partner with Mason School during the 2011-2012 school year.
