MAD (Music Art & Drama) Camp is a great opportunity for young musicians and theatrically-inclined youth to connect with others and grow in faith through music, art, and drama!  Registrants will learn The Life of the Party in a week’s time and perform it twice in front of friends, family, and the fellowship here at KUMC!

Do you want to be the life of the party?  Then here is your party invitation!  The musical for MAD
Camp, June 19-25, is The Life of the Party script written by Tom Long, music by Allen Pote.  So where is this party and who are the characters?

The party will be held in the home (also known as Kirkwood United Methodist Church) of Mary and Martha, longtime friends of Jesus, and their brother Lazarus.
Quoting the author and composer, “The stories of Mary and Martha in the gospels deal with issues that are instantly recognizable—family conflict, making time for Jesus in the midst of hectic lives, and trusting God when things get tough.  Any parent who has taken a long car ride with children in the back seat knows that the first issue is universal.  Likewise, anyone today who goes to work, attends school, or watches the six o’clock news has wrestled with the other two.”
