FREE Vacation Bible School “Rolling River Rampage” — July 29-August 2

There will be no Engage Worship and activities on Wednesday, July 10.
Engage worship will resume on July 17 after students and leaders return from their trip to Youth 2019.
Social Justice Movie Night — Saturday, July 13, 6:15 pm
After Table worship, the movie, “Loving” will be shown on the big screens in the Gathering Place. Pizza, popcorn and drinks will be served. After viewing the movie, you are invited to stay for a time of discussion.
VBS Helpers Needed
Do you love kids and enjoy teaching them the love of scripture and the wonders of God? Then Rolling River Rampage needs YOU! We are looking for actors, group leaders, a recreation leader, a science leader, a craft leader, people to manage the sign-in/sign-out table and people to help prepare snack each day. Summer Sunday School for grades K – 5
This summer, Sunday School for grades K – 5 will meet together at 9 am in the Chapel. Join Jacob Nault for lessons and fun with a larger group of friends this summer.

Witnessing Whiteness at KUMC
KUMC will be hosting the YWCA’s program from August—December 2019 — a class to help white people gain a deeper understanding of race and how white people can become anti-racists in today’s society. Email Jess Horsley at Registration continues through July 15.
Our July Backpack Bonanza has begun!
Please consider donating a NEW backpack or two to the Mission Window through the month of July. LifeWise StL, Epworth, and the Meacham Park Neighborhood Association rely on KUMC to supply them with backpacks so their students have needed supplies to start the school year. Our goal is 450 backpacks!

Freedom School Readers – Sign-Ups for Summer 2019
Share your passion for reading this summer with children of all ages to help curb summer learning loss through LifeWise STL’s Harambee reading program. Volunteer for a single day or several and read a short passage aloud from a favorite book and encourage participants to answer questions. Play Café is moving outside for the summer!
Playtime for the kids and conversation for the parents will be at Kirkwood Park on Wednesday, July 17, and August 7 from 3 pm – 5 pm. In case of rain, Play Café will be moved inside in the KUMC gym. Please contact Jacob Nault at for more information.

Red Cross Blood Drive — Sunday, August 25, 7:30 am to 1 pm

Calling all Artist to create a work of Art for “One Touch”
KUMC will be hosting a Gallery Night in October featuring some of our works of fine art in the church and now you are invited to participate! Create a piece of art in your favorite media entitled “One Touch.” Paint, draw, write a song, sew, create a video – use whatever media you prefer. Information will be coming soon on when and where to bring your masterpiece!
