Town Hall Meeting – Sunday, January 27, 11:40 a.m.  Come to “The Gathering Place” (formerly The Wood) and hear an update on the “state” of the church.  Get acquainted with your Church Board members and learn what to expect from your board in 2019.  All are welcome, and childcare will be available.
Trivia Night!  Tickets and table seating sign-ups will begin on TODAY in the main hallway and online at Trivia Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 30 at the Kirkwood Community Center with a theme of “TV Sitcoms.”  Start getting your teams and your table theme together!  We’re also looking for small business owners who would like to be sponsors (various levels available), gift card donations and “experiential” auction items like tickets to sporting events & shows.  Email with questions. 
The church will be closed on Jan 21 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. January is Pillow Drive Month for Home Sweet Home. 
Please donate a NEW bed pillow and let’s fill the Donation Room to the ceiling.  These pillows will be given to people moving out of homelessness into apartments.
Down and Dirty Bible Study For the next several weeks, Jay Wiesner will lead an exploration of Matthew’s vision of God and Christ in the world and how we are part of it.  Join us Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in Room 109.
Moms in Service will be volunteering at Home Sweet Home on Thursday, January 24 at 9:00 a.m. Contact if interested.
Join the DOTs at MOD Pizza  The next “Dining Out Together” event will be held all day on Monday, January 28 at MOD Pizza, 338 S. Kirkwood Road.  Scan this code to let them know you’ll be attending.  We need 20 folks registered to make this fundraiser happen.  KUMC earns 20% of your ticket at this event. 
Soup-er Bowl Soup Sale  Donations of canned black beans, corn, chicken broth, salsa, tortilla chips, jiffy cornbread mix, and grocery store gift cards are needed. Please return your donated items to the Mission Window by January 28. If you would like to help us cook on February 2 or help sell soup during services, please scan this code. Soup will be on sale Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3 just in time for the big game! Proceeds will support KUMC mission projects.
Student Super Game Party — Sunday, February 4, 5-9 p.m.  All students in Grades 6-12 are invited to watch the big game in the Lounge.  Bring a snack or drink to share.

Get On the Bus!   Community for Understanding and Hope (CFUH) is sponsoring a bus trip to Memphis, TN, June 7-8 to visit the Human Rights Museum, the Burkle Slave Haven Museum, Beale Street and Charlie Vergos’ Rendevous.  Join us for a registration meeting on Wednesday, January 30, 6 p.m. in Room 201.  Contact Genevieve Hodges for information at
