Kids matter at Kirkwood UMC.

Our goal at KUMC is to create a place for children and families to pray, worshipread and learn Scripture, and serve all while having fun and growing spiritually.

Every week at KUMC, children do this in Sunday morning small groups and child care, Sunday morning worship, Wednesday afternoon Play Café and Wednesday afternoon children’s choirs.

Hello! My name is Jacob Nault, and I am blessed to be your new Children’s Ministry Director! I am a second year student at Eden Theological Seminary, preparing for pastoral ministry (Master’s of Divinity) with music emphasis in the United Church of Christ. I am excited to have the opportunity to work in a large congregation, as my home church near Green Bay, WI has between 150-200 members! I have worked in children’s ministry in a variety of contexts, including several years as a camp counselor, and as Interim Christian Education Coordinator, and Angel (Children’s) Choir Director. I received my Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy with a minor in Church Music from Lakeland University, a small liberal arts college in the cornfields of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. These days, I also work as a professional musician, composer and arranger, providing musical leadership for concerts, youth events and other functions in the wider church and in other community contexts. I play piano with six fingers because of my mild cerebral palsy, and the witness of God’s presence and goodness in my life in the midst of physical challenges is a message I enjoy sharing! I love sharing with each and every person I work with that they are an image of God, and I look forward to helping your children live into the joy of discipleship and being images of God together! Please contact me anytime via email at jacob@kirkwoodumc.org

At Kirkwood UMC, we believe children should know themselves as beautiful and beloved images of God! Through engaging programming during worship, and family events throughout the year, we are excited to provide opportunities to rejoice in being images of God together!
