What Can I Expect at Common Worship?

Common Worship will be a place where people come together for casual, communal worship in a setting that feels more like a coffee shop than a sanctuary. There will be free snacks and coffee.

It will be a place for individuals and families of all ages and all forms to come to worship together. Kids will come in for an opening song, then leave for children’s church. Adults will have time to sing with acoustic music, pray, reflect, and engage in discussion. We will all come back together to share of the bread and cup like Jesus did with his disciples.

On the third Saturday of the month, there will be free extended childcare time for parents to gather away from church to enjoy social time together. Put it on your calendar now, because the first event is planed for Saturday, September 21rst.  Enjoy and evening of food and fellowship at Schnucks Des Peres, 6 – 8:15 pm while your kids play at KUMC.

Common means both ordinary and shared. At Common Worship we will seek to share in community and build relationships, while finding the sacred in the casual and ordinary corners of real life. Together we will discover that common ground is holy ground.
