Put Your Love Into Action

Are you looking for a way to help LGBTQ+ people feel loved and fully accepted at KUMC?  Are you part of the LGBTQ+ community and want to help KUMC find meaningful ways to connect with you and others?  If so, consider yourself part of our newly formed Inclusive Ministries Team!  This team will have periodic, short meetings to plan and organize work groups that will take the lead on different areas of inclusive ministry – like creating a welcome banner, planning for PrideFest 2020, developing support groups, hosting educational opportunities, etc. Email Lorri Coates here to be added to the group and receive updates on meetings and activities.

Finding your Voice
is Coming to 
KUMC on Saturday,
October 26
from 4 – 6 pm

You’re invited to join inclusive Methodists from across Missouri at the Finding your Voice event sponsored by Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) and MOUMCNEXT
in St. Louis
with special guest,
J.J. Warren. 
This is a two day event with a learning session happening at KUMC, October 26; an social gathering at Clementine’s Creamery Saturday night, and a worship service at Webster United Methodist on Sunday, October 27. 
On Saturday, October 26 Kirkwood United Methodist Church is the host location for attendants to gather to network and strategize towards justice. This learning session led by special guest JJ Warren, along with RMN and MOUMCNEXT will include facilitated strategizing around creating a more inclusive Church. 

Since KUMC is offering the space, interested members of KUMC are invited to attend this session too. Please respond using the Eventbrite link below with any donation you feel appropriate to be counted in for the event. The suggested donation for this event is $25 to cover costs and any remaining funds will be donated to MO RMN.
Following the learning session, youth and young adults are welcome to join with one another (and JJ) in joyful fellowship at Clementines Naughty or Nice Creamery, 1637 S. 18th Street, from 7-9 PM. Ice cream is not provided, so please bring cash to purchase your own. This event will meet safe sanctuary guidelines.

The following day a worship service will be held at Webster United Methodist on Sunday at 2 PM. This worship service will be led by representatives from Methodist Churches across the region and will feature a variety of worship styles. The message provided by JJ Warren.
This program will take place in place of Common Worship on 10/26!
