KUMC Missions

The Church has left the building “Go and make disciples of all nations.”  – Matthew 28:19

We believe church isn’t over when you leave a worship service. At KUMC, we CONNECT with others both inside and outside of the church building as we GROW in our faith and SERVE God and others with love though mission and ministry.
Please join us as we leave the building and serve together!

God’s Child Mission Trip to Guatemala

The church is leaving the building and flying to Guatemala!  Through God’s Child Project, a team from KUMC will build 3 houses and support Casa Jackson, the Infant Malnutrition Center.  Will you support this mission with a cash donation? Donation envelopes are available at the Mission Window.

Volunteer to help Room at the Inn in 2020

KUMC has served as a Night Site by providing shelter to homeless women and children for 25 years.  In order for this valuable mission to continue in 2020, we need your help. Greatest volunteer needs are:

  • Co-Coordinator
  • Drivers to transport women and children between the day site and KUMC
  • Innkeepers to host our guests overnight at KUMC.

For more information or to volunteer, please contact Mary Konnesky at mkonnesky@gmail.com or Julie Sherwood at mission@kirkwoodumc.org.
