PURPOSE
To serve families of the church and community by providing a loving Christian atmosphere for the child away from home. We offer:

- Socialization

- Meaningful, age-appropriate activities
Children aged infant through five years are accepted for care.

- Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

LIMITED ENROLLMENT
We accept 4 enrollments for the Crib Room (6 weeks-18 months), 12 enrollments for the Toddler Room, and 12 enrollments for the 3-5 Year Old Room. Toddlers may be enrolled for a maximum of 2 times a week (9-11:30, 9-12:30, 11:30-3, 12:30-3 or 9-3) for specific days of the year. 3-5 year olds may be enrolled for a maximum of 3 times a week (9-11:30, 9-12:30, 11:30-3, 12:30-3 or 9-3) for specific days of the year.
Children may drop out of the enrollment program with two-weeks notice, and refunds will be made for paid days beyond this notice.
ADVANCE RESERVATIONS
We accept 3 advance reservations for the Crib room (6 weeks-18 months), 3 reservations for the Toddler Room, and 3 reservations for the 3-5 year Old Room.
All reservations are for a minimum time of 2-1/2 hours, with starting times of 9:00, 11:30 or 12:30.
Members of Kirkwood United Methodist Church may make reservations up to 4 weeks in advance. Non-members may make reservations no more than 2 weeks in advance.
KUM Preschool parents needing to use CDO for parent helping dates and other pre-approved preschool functions should reserve these CDO times as soon at the dates are known. Parent helpers may make reservations with starting times of 8:45 and 12:15. Persons seeking to make a reservation after the maximum has been reached may not do so even though it is for parent helping or other pre-approved preschool function.
DROP IN SERVICE
- Enrollment and reservations are limited in order to leave space for those persons needing to use CDO on a drop-in basis. One drop-in space is available each morning at the time of opening in each of the Crib Room, the Toddler Room and the 3-5 Year Old Room.
- Spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to persons in the building when we open at 9:00. You may call at 9:00 to see if spaces are still available.
- The minimum Drop In charge is for one hour.
FEES
- Enrollment fees are paid at the beginning of each month. Other fees are paid when children are picked up.
- Enrollment: there is an annual registration fee of $30 per family plus a $10 supply fee per child.
- Reservations or Drop In: there is an annual registration fee of $15 per family.
- Hourly Rates: KUMC members pay $5.00/hour for the first child, $2.50/hour for each additional sibling. Non-members pay $5.00/hour for the first child, $3.00/hour for each additional sibling.
FORMS
CDO uses Missouri state childcare Enrollment and Medical forms. You may come into the CDO office and get copies of these forms to fill out, or you may access them online (through the links below), print them, fill them out, and bring them to the CDO office. The Enrollment form and an Emergency Card must be filled out on the first day of service; the Medical Form must be received by CDO within 30 days of the first day of service.
